On the afternoon of June 29th, 2020, the Founding Ceremony of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center was held in the Sunshine Hall of Yingjie Exchange Center of Peking University. Peking University has a long-distance video connection with Moscow State University and fraternal colleges and universities of China and Russia to jointly witness the establishment of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center. Sadovniqi, president of Moscow University, Academician Jiang Song, director of mathematical and physical sciences department of NSFC, Zhan Tao, chairman of the board of directors of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, Qiu Shuiping, secretary of the Party committee and director of the University Council of Peking University, Hao Ping, President of Peking University, and representatives of 23 units of "Double First-Class" Construction Alliance of Mathematics, and experts and scholars in the field of mathematical mechanics of the two countries attended the founding ceremony. The construction of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center is led by Peking University and Moscow University. Relying on the "Double First-Class" Construction Alliance of Mathematics, relevant domestic units, Russian universities and scientific research institutes such as St. Petersburg University participate in the construction of the center. According to the consensus of Peking University, Moscow University and Sino-Russian brother universities, Aademician Zhang Jiping, professor of School of Mathematical Sciences of Peking University and deputy director of Beijing International Center for Mathematics Research, was appointed as the director of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center.
