On the morning of December 11st, the 2021 Workshop in Algebraic Geometry Codes was successfully opened at Shenzhen Shenzhen MSU-BIT University. The meeting was jointly proposed by the Southern University of Science and Technology, SUSTech International Center Mathematics and Shanghai Jiao Tong University and hosted by the Mathematics Center of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University.

Zhang Jiping, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and director of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center, Feng Keqin, a famous number theory and algebra scientist, former vice president of China University of Science and Technology and professor of Tsinghua University, and Zhu Dijian, party secretary and vice president of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Zhang Ye, executive director of Mathematics Center and professor of Department of Mathematics of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, presided over the opening ceremony. More than 100 people, including experts and professors in the field of algebraic geometry codes and their applications from more than 20 domestic universities and scientific research institutes such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, University of Science and Technology of China and Southern University of Science and Technology, attended the meeting offline and online.
