On November 26th, 2021, the closing ceremony of China-Russia Year of Scientific and Technological Innovation was held by video connection. President Xi Jinping and Russian President Putin sent their congratulatory letters to the closing ceremony of China-Russia Year of Scientific and Technological Innovation respectively. Among them, Putin said in his congratulatory letter that the establishment of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center between the two sides has become one of the most important cooperative achievements in more than 1000 scientific research activities.

At the meeting, as a supporting activity of the closing ceremony and an important part of the construction of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center, Hao Ping, president of Peking University, and Vadim Valerievicira Dayev, executive president of HSE University (National Research University Higher School of Economics), signed the student exchange agreement on behalf of the two universities, aiming to further deepen cooperation, expand exchanges between China and Russia in the field of mathematical sciences, promote exchanges between students of both sides, and cultivate top mathematics talents with pioneering spirit and innovative consciousness, global vision and international competitiveness.
