On September 20th, the symposium on the construction of Class-A base (China Three Gorges University) of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center was held in the conference room on the first floor of the administration building of China Three Gorges University. Zhang Jiping, director of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Boya chair professor of Peking University, professor Xiang Qing and professor Li Caiheng of Southern University of Science and Technology, He Weijun, secretary of the Party committee and Wang Yanting, president of China Three Gorges University attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Wang Yanting.

Zhang Jiping introduced the construction background and progress of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center, affirmed the achievements of Three Gorges Mathematical Research Center of China Three Gorges University in recent years, made in-depth discussions on the team construction, research projects, visit plans of Chinese and Russian mathematicians, joint academic conferences, training of young teachers and other issues of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center cooperation base, proposed key deployment for the future development of the base, and formulated the short-term goal of base construction and development, which is becoming a first-class algebra combination center in China after three to five years of efforts.

The participants had in-depth exchanges on the construction advantages, development planning and policy guarantee of the Class-A base of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center (China Three Gorges University).
