In order to implement the important consensus reached by the presidents of China and Russia and take the "China-Russia Year of Scientific and Technological Innovation" as an opportunity to promote China-Russia scientific and technological cooperation to a higher level, on June 15th-17th, 2021, National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as NSFC) and Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) successfully held the science and technology forum for the 25th anniversary of the cooperation between NSFC and RFBR in the form of video in two main venues of the multi-function hall of Sino-German Center for Research Promotion and the Russian National University of Science and Technology . The activity is divided into three parts: the opening ceremony, the Sino-Russian scientific seminar and the Sino-Russian young scientist forum.

This forum is not only a celebration of the long-term close cooperation between NSFC and RFBR, but also a grand meeting of scientific circles of China and Russia. The participants, experts and scholars mainly exchanged and demonstrated the important achievements made by NSFC and RFBR in supporting Chinese and Russian scholars to carry out cooperative exchanges and research activities in the past 25 years, focused on the impact of these cooperative outputs on deepening Sino-Russian scientific and technological cooperation and promoting the progress of basic research, and discussed in-depth the development direction of future cooperation. This is of great significance for deepening the bilateral cooperation between NSFC and RFBR, promoting the common development of basic sciences of China and Russia, and pushing forward the cultivation of international innovative talents between the two countries.
