On May 14th, 2021, the symposium on the development and construction of Class-A base (Jilin University) of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center was successfully held in Dongrong conference center of Jilin University. Zhang Jiping, director of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chair professor of Boya of Peking University, and professor Zheng Weitao, executive vice president of Jilin University attended and addressed the symposium. The meeting was presided over by professor Zhang Ran, secretary of the party committee and dean of School of Mathematics of Jilin University.

The participants had in-depth exchanges on the construction advantages, development planning and policy guarantee of Class-A base (Jilin University) of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center. Relying on the resource and geographical advantages of Jilin University's cooperation with famous Russian universities over the years, especially the characteristic advantages of mathematics, the Class-A base (Jilin University) of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center will focus more on basic theoretical research and innovative practice, widely recruit outstanding talents, promote organized scientific research and strive to make better achievements in original innovative research and talent echelon construction.
