On April 18th, 2021, the Sino-Russian Mathematics Center Construction Conference hosted by Sino-Russian Mathematics Center and co-sponsored by the University of Science and Technology of China was held in Hefei. Lei Chaozi, director of the Department of Science, Technology and Informatization of the Ministry of Education, Li Renjie, deputy director of the Department of Basic Research and Social Development, He Lifang, deputy director of the Department of Planning and General Affairs, Jiang Yi, executive deputy secretary of the Party committee of the University of Science and Technology of China, Academician Zhang Jiping, director of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center, Academician Ye Xiangdong, deputy director of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center, Lu Xiyun, academician of the University of Science and Technology of China, Chen Dayue, dean of School of Mathematical Sciences of Peking University, Li Jiayu, executive dean of School of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Science and Technology of China, Huang Fang, director of the Scientific Research Department of the University of Science and Technology of China, Fan Shaofeng, director of the Overseas Project Office of the Scientific Research Department of Peking University, and more than 30 representatives from more than 20 colleges and universities across the country, including the member units of the "Double First-Class" Construction Alliance of Mathematics, attended the meeting. Zhang Jiping Made a Speech

Zhang Jiping first extended a warm welcome to all the guests and thanked the University of Science and Technology of China for its strong support for the construction of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center. The University of Science and Technology of China has played a leading role in the development of China's education and science and technology, and there are many important figures in various fields. It is hoped that PKU and USTC will have more cooperation and work together on the road of science. Subsequently, Zhang Jiping made a keynote report on "establishing the development concept of big mathematics, exploring the internationalization road led by us, and comprehensively promoting the construction of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center", focusing on the mission, guidelines and construction progress of Sino-Russian Mathematics Center. In foreign scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges, Sino-Russian Mathematics Center will strive to forge a new pattern of international scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges. Team building is an important measure of international cooperation, and school building is the fundamental guarantee for building internationalization. Sino-Russian Mathematics Center will vigorously promote the construction of international cooperation team, seek personnel flows, promote ideological exchanges, increase brainstorming and stimulate innovations.
