Abstract: The problem of shadowing of pseudo-trajectories was inspired by the classical results of D.V.Anosov on the robustness of uniformly hyperbolic systems. The main difficulty here lies in the analysis of infinitely many (in time) perturbations of the system. I will discuss a new approach to the shadowing problem that allows us to overcome this difficulty and expands dramatically its applicability to irreversibleand discontinuous systems, as well as to more general types of perturbations (for example, Gaussian).
Bio: Prof. Michael Blank is one of the most known Russian experts in Probability Theory, Dynamical Systems, Mathematical Physics and Ergodic Theory, and author of a series of breakthrough results in this areas. He has got his PhD degree at 1986 and D.S. degree at 1998. Starting from 2013, Prof. Blank works at Kharkevich Institute for Information Transmition Problem (one of the most famous research centers in Russia where 3 Fields Prize winners worked at). Prof. Blank combines heading a laboratory at this institute and being a Professor of Higher School of Economics.
